Abstract
Preterm delivery is an important problem in gynecology and neonatology. To compare magnesium sulfat (Injection) and placebo effects in prevention of preterm delivery, in a Clinical trial, 13 women in treatment group and 19 women in control group were participated. Magnesium Sulfate (according to Protocol) and Ringer Solution or 2/3 Dextrose, 1/3 Salin Solution was given to treatment group and control group, respectively. delayed delivery as outcome in 24 hours, 48 hours, and 7 days later was measured. Delayed delivery in 24 hours in treatment group was slightly increased, but in 48 hours and 7 days follow up it was slightly increased in control group (Statistically). There was no difference between Magnesium Sulfate and Placebo perfusion in prevention of preterm delivery. Another trial with Magnesium sulfate +Antibiotic is suggested.
