Background Organizations, like humans, are exposed to diseases. Nurses in medical centers interact with the organization; therefore, the disease in organization have adverse effects on them.
Objective This study aims to find different types of organizational diseases in the hospitals of Guilan province and their effect on nurses
Methods This is a qualitative study using thematic analysis. It was conducted in Guilan University of Medical Sciences and the hospitals in Rasht,Iran. Data were collected by interviewing 10 faculty members and the nursing managers of Razi Hospital.
Results The major known diseases were divided into 3 categories: physical, psychophysical, and psychological diseases. The physical diseases included organizational constipation, organizational paralysis, and organizational sepsis. The psychological  diseases included depression, aggression, and sleep disorders. The psychophysical diseases illnesses were posttraumatic damage, organizational shock, and organizational cancer.
Conclusion By generalizing human diseases to organizations, a clear path to diagnosis of the sick organization and its symptoms can be achieved. Identification of diseases, such as organizational asthma, organizational trauma, organizational paralysis, organizational sepsis and cancer and other diseases in the organization prevents the development of organizational challenges. The improved health of the organization can lead to the development of nurses' health.
