ABSTRACT:
Hand -foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a clinical syndrome caused by any entero virus and clinicaly manifested by vesiculo-ulcerative lesions in the mouth and often by painful vesicular lesions on the hands and feet.The disease may be preceded by a prodrome of 12-24 hours characterized by low grade fever ,malaise ,and abdominal pain or respiratory symptoms after an incubation period of 5-7 days .HFMD is selflimited and lesions heal without Scarring in 7-10 days The diagnosis of HFMD is usually made on clinical basis ,and histopathological Virological and serological Studies .No Specific treatment for HFMD is required and therapy is mainly symptomatic. In this article we present a 5 year old girl who is presented with typical Vesicular lesions in the mouth and extremities followed by a brief prodromal period and is limited in two weeks without any complications.
