ABSTRACT:
The exposure to light affects the biological functions of human. This Study has investigated the effects of duration of sunlight exposure on blood pressure and plasma concentration of Na+,K+,T3, T4
The subjects are two groups of workers from a construction company in Kerman . The first group (experimental )having an average of 8 Workhours in Sunshine (n=84) and the Second one (control ) working in shadow (n=77) . The two groups were identical in age ,sex ,nutrition work and geography of working area. Blood pressure was recorded by sphygmomanometer. Plasma concentrations of Na+ ,K+ were measured in fasting state by flame photometry and T3,T4 were measured by RIA methods and the following results were obtained:
1- Mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure had normal limit but were lower in expe. g and systolic blood pressure showed significant difference(P<0.05)
2- Mean plasma concentrations of Na+ and K+ were lower in expe .g and plasma concentration of Na+ showed significant difference (P< 0.01).
3- Mean plasma concentration of T3,T4 was lower in expe.g.but did not show any significant difference.
