ABSTRACT:
Glioblastoma multiforme is the most malignant primary brain tumor .It usually occurs in the 5th and 6th decades of life and is rare in childern. In this paper a case of glioblastoma multiforme is reported in a ten year - old child who presented with two week's history of headache with no neurological defect.C.T scan revealed å right frontal mass with massive surrounding oedema.
He was operated 5 times within 2.5 years due to rapid recurrences and had chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
This article with presenting such a patient intends to discuss the following points:
 1- Headache in children may be a symptom of malignant brain tumor.
2- Glioblastoma multiforme can occur in childern.
3- With aggressive treatment a patient can expect several years of survival .
