Background: Hospital information systems are implemented to provide timely and accurate information to provide the required information and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health care with cost management.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the acceptance level of hospital information systems and individual, organizational and technological characteristics.
Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted in 1402 in eight public hospitals in Rasht. The investigated population was HIS employees of Gilan University of Medical Sciences teaching hospital, and 131 samples were used according to available methods to participate in the research. Modeling of SEM structural equations was also used for path analysis, which have a confirmatory approach.
Results: It was shown that 82.4% of the people studied were women and 67.2% of all people had experience of more than 9 years. After confirming the appropriate fit of the model, it was determined that the effect of team competence, information quality, and perceived usefulness on the level of system acceptance was significant and confirmed. Also, team competence, adaptability and self-efficacy had an impact on the understanding of ease, and on the other hand, information quality, system quality, senior management support and understanding of usefulness.
Conclusion: Web-based software can be used instead of Windows application to manage HIS, which improves the hospital's information system, saving time and increasing the quality of services provided in health care departments.
